I waited four episodes to really get into it. The goal was to give me the opportunity to appreciate the gift of the many quality actors who contributed to this work, which, by the way, was enjoyed and appreciated by many despite the mixed reviews. Many viewers have had stories told from a similar point of view, but that point of view remains engaging here as well, as one is dealing with a confusing but well-woven plot with female leads, each of whom reliably grabs our attention whenever she appears. At the halfway point, we can’t say if that sense of urgency, as we learn more and more about what’s going on, will remain at the level it is now, but given the subject matter covered, the budget, and the talent pool they’ve managed to bring this to the screen, it’s going to be hard to miss the landing, especially because of the series’ solid foundation.
